She and her vet tech were very patient with bothe me and Zeus. They explained the procedures, timing of results, and we're able to get the procedure done right away. Then followed up with a call the following morning, checking on his wellbeing.

Our visit to Mountain Star was incredible! I reported an issue with my dog's eyes and the staff advised that my dog be seen the same day. They were able to fit us in quickly. The intake process was simple!

The front office staff were kind, courteous and empathetic to my dog's nervousness about being at a vet. Dr. Mendlin and her tech Morgan were incredibly patient and soft with my dog.

The doc was very thorough and explained every detail of my dog's condition. She prescribed medicine quickly, and set realistic expectations about my dog's condition.

We highly recommend MountainStar Veterinary Specialists & want to express our gratitude to Dr. Chavkin and Morgan, who took amazing care of our pup who suddenly needed eye removal surgery right before the holidays.

When my husband brought our pup in for an initial evaluation, Dr. Chavkin expressed care & concern for our dog and also for how my husband was dealing with the situation, and that meant a lot.

Also, Dr. Chavkin came in very early in the morning on his day off, with Morgan, to perform surgery on our dog in a timeframe that worked with our holiday travel schedule. We really appreciate them prioritizing our dog’s health & our needs in this situation.

Cannot recommend this practice enough—if your dog is facing a serious health concern, you can feel confident in the care your pup will receive here 🙂

I joined my daughter who had to bring her Golden into the clinic to have his eye removed. It was a very emotional experience for my daughter. I flew out from Detroit to be her emotional support dad. But the techs and doctors here made her feel very comfortable and took the time to hear her concerns and answered them all. This made the surgery and wait time afterwards bearable. They kept her updated and made the experience, as tramatic as it was, acceptable. I want to give a shout out to Mandy. Thank you for putting Sarah more at ease than I thought possible. And thank you to the team there, for the love and concern for Koda and my daughter.

I brought my 9 year old Lab in concerned about some milky shadows when light hits just so. I was greatly relieved to know he was completely healthy but aging normally and what I am seeing g is not fixable but normal aging.

I felt relieved , educated and supported! And Tanners experience was positive and pleasant!

This clinic was recommended to me by my primary veterinarian to get a specialized opinion about some health issues with my cat. I found them to be faster for an appointment, good listeners, and caring for my cat that was anxious from the visit.

Very accomodating, for the pets (more important) and the humans (still important). Nice, calm atmostphere, very empathetic staff, great vet specialist, and vet tech support. I could tell kitty was comfortable (though annoyed, as he always is at the vet 😉 ).

Not only did Dr. Hoppers & Corey go out of their way making sure Pippi was not too scared (This includes crawling on the ground and coming to her to examine her) but Dr. Hopper's explained everything to me in layman terms ensuring I understood 1. the diagnosis, 2. the treatment options and 3. the plan going forward. Being a concerned dog owner of a dog that I just got, Mountain Star Veterinary eased my anxieties and proved to me Pippi was receiving the best care.

This clinic was wonderful from the moment I walked in. The facility was very clean, drinks were readily available, and the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I immediately felt comfortable leaving my pup in their care.

When I first called about my dog’s eye issue, they were upfront in letting me know the exam would start at $490. While that was a lot to hear at first, I appreciated the honesty so there were no surprises for me later. After going through the appointment, I can see why, the exam was thorough, with multiple tests to ensure we had the full picture of the issue.

Dr. Conway took the time to explain everything to me clearly, offered her recommendations, and made sure my dog felt safe and comfortable during the visit. She also gave me peace of mind through a difficult moment when I learned my pup would be blind in one eye. That news came as a shock, but she validated my emotions and helped me process it with patience and compassion.

Since the visit, my dog has been feeling much better and is acting more like himself again, which makes me so grateful. I already have a follow-up scheduled, and once I’m able, I plan to bring my other dog in for preventative care as well.

Overall, I highly recommend Mountain Star! Dr. Conway and the team provided not only excellent veterinary care but also genuine kindness and support.

Staff is absolutely amazing. Everyone is super kind and welcoming. What sticks out about this place from others (and I have been to many let me tell you) is that they research all about your individual pets history prior to your visit. They also talk within your pets individual interdisciplinary team and you aren’t having to reach out to each vet and disclose all the info amongst them all. They are absolutely exceptional here. They don’t rush, they’re kind, answer all your questions and they truly try to make you and your pet feel welcome.

The whole team at Mountain Star was wonderful to my pup, Wilson and myself! They really care about his health and want him to get better almost as much as I do. Everyone is very kind and accommodating. They were patient while I asked SO many questions and they never made me feel like I was annoying them, like at some other vet experiences. Worth the long drive! After doing some searching on Google, reading their reviews and coming in for appointments, these specialists are by far the best veterinarian experience I’ve had. My Princess gets really nervous going to her appointments but both Dr. Conway and her team have made her feel safe and happier. I was really amazed at how gentle, patient, and understanding they were with her. Highly recommend for ophthalmology! Next stop will be the dermatology department for her. Great veterinary specialty practice! Doctor Bendlin was kind and knowledgeable. She took the time to fully explain our fur baby's health issue, future problems that could result from the issue, and the medical procedure needed. She showed us pictures to help us understand exactly what was happening with our girl. She loved on our dog during the visit while remaining professional as she shared medical information. We never doubted that she would handle the surgery with competence. She personally met with me after surgery to let me know how well the surgery went and to answer questions, which was greatly appreciated. The vet techs took great care of our baby, one even sitting in the kennel with her for a while to ensure her comfort. The office staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Our English bulldog is definitely our baby, and we want only the best care for her. She received that from Mountain Stars, and they went the extra mile to make our girl feel comfortable and loved while she was with them. I can't recommend them enough.

Mountain Star was the saving grace for my cat Yuki!! She developed a horrible skin allergy that would not go away even after multiple visits to regular vet offices (I got multiple opinions), several rounds of steroids, and a food change. Months later, she had scabs all over, was losing hair, and was in a cone 24/7. If you are on the fence and scared of the cost, just know it's 100% worth it. Plus, they will give you a cost estimate on your initial phone call.
All of the employees are super sweet and caring, making me (and Yuki) feel comfortable from the beginning. Dr. Christina Mazulis is so nice and knowledgeable - she had diagnostic and treatment options (as well as their costs) available right away and answered all the questions I had. She also gave me background information on how cats (vs. dogs) react to allergies. Within literally 3 days miss Yuki was no longer itchy. Within a week, she didn't have to wear a cone anymore. While she has to take medicine every day, she is completely back to normal and acting like herself again. Again, 100% worth it, I am so thankful!

I was terrified to take my 16 year old Shih Tzu to see this practice, after my fur baby was attacked by a neighbor dog. The minute I walked into their clinic my mind was at ease. The front desk staff were just incredible. So compassionate and warm. Then upon meeting Dr. Chavkin I knew I was in the right place! He is simply the best man, vet, human being I have had the pleasure of meeting. I feel I have truly met an angel 😇. He was so good with my fur baby, and me, as I was a wreck. I was so afraid he was going to give me the worst possible new. Long story short…if you value your fur babies as your own, you will be hard pressed to find a better Specialist. Simply outstanding all around. Bella and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💕
